Discussion: M.E.T.A. Medical Equipment & Technology Association LinkedIn: "Do you agree that you get a fair market price when you trade in your used medical assets to the OEM?
I would love to hear people's input if you have a role with disposition of your surplus assets, how you currently dispose of your used unwanted equipment?

When you have upgrade to new technology, do you normaly trade in the equipment with the OEM and feel that you are just giving it away?

Do you sell it to liquidators or vendors for pennys on the dollar?

What are for the reasons of trading in and beneits? If you are part of a GPO, do you feel that they have some input on how to dispose/purchase equipment?

In this economy, you will get discounts anyway on new purchases, so why give them the old unit for free when you could maximize your return with other directions.

I'm interested to hear people's current ways and hope to have some good discussions.

Thank you
